Training & Philosophies

The DLGA Method
DLGA offers the best golf instruction available in the world today.

Our philosophy is simple. The same proven techniques that we teach to top professionals can be applied to golfers at all levels – from complete beginners to seasoned pros. Developed by DLGA founder David Leadbetter, our practice methods have helped literally thousands of professional and amateur golfers transform their games beyond recognition.

With his mantra of “Practice, Practice, Practice”, David Leadbetter has been dubbed the “master of the art of teaching the golf swing”.

How will a DLGA programme improve my game?
Based on the theory of cause and effect, the cornerstone of David’s teaching is to develop the correct co-ordination of all the muscles used in the swing motion to promote efficiency and consistency of movement.

The aim is to improve your swing motion by focusing on your unique technique or “feel”. We then develop a highly effective and easily repeatable sequence of tailored exercises to rapidly and permanently transform your game.

DLGA teaching programmes are supported by state-of-the-art computer analysis with integrated mental and fitness training options.
Whatever your handicap, whatever your age or ability, the principles we teach will improve your golf.

It’s not all hard work...
While our primary objective is to develop your game, the emphasis is always on making the learning process fun, enjoyable and not overly technical.

“A vital part of every DLGA instructor's fault-finding technique is to detect and then eliminate the original and most destructive fault in the swing (the cause). When this is achieved, other related faults (the effects) are rectified. The benefits and improvement gained from a programme continue long after its completion.”
David Leadbetter

Instruction programmes range from an individual one-hour lesson, to participation in a small group over 5 days, covering all aspects of the game.

From seniors to novices, from accomplished players through to international Tour professionals - whatever your handicap, whatever your age or ability, the principles we teach will improve your game.
