Originally from Scotland, Michael turned Professional in May 2000 when he enrolled on the PGA program at the prestigious Burhill Golf Club, Surrey.Whilst there he trained under the tutelage of European Tour Coach Lee Johnson; past clients including Paul Casey, Brett Ogle, Andrew Coltart and Gary Orr.
During this period Burhill Golf Club was the official fitting centre for Mizuno, Titleist and Callaway; Michael gained invaluable experience, custom fitting clients to their individual requirements.
Whilst teaching at all levels and abilities, Michael also competed on the UK PGA circuit with numerous top ten finishes to his credit.
In October 2004 after gaining PGA Status, Michael joined the David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Shanghai, during which time he has been intensively trained under the guidance of David Leadbetter, Senior Instructors at DLGA Champions Gate, DLGA Headquarters, and DLGA Bradenton, the worlds largest Junior golf academy.
This extensive experience equips Michael well to lead DLGA Shanghai, offering world class instruction.
