Heinz, a native Austrian, is a Sport & English graduate of the University of Graz and he began his professional career as schoolteacher. Heinz turned golf professional in 1991 when he successfully completed his training to become a fully qualified PGA professional. Since joining the DLGA team in 1993 Heinz has been several times to the United States to complete his training and re-certification.Besides teaching a large number of regular customers, Heinz has found time to specialise in teaching juniors and has established and developed a special programme for them, Golf Hak, in the local town of Stegersbach. The programme combines traditional school lessons with golf. The morning is spent in the classroom studying the core academic subjects and during the afternoon the pupils are trained by the instructors of DLGA to improve their golfing skills. At the moment there are about 65 children enrolled on the programme and number is constantly increasing.
