Aaron started his golf career at the Oriental Golf Club Xiamen, Fujian Province in 1995. He successfully competed in several amateur golf tournaments before choosing to focus on the instructional side of the game. Aaron first became a golf instructor at the Ming Yi Yuan Golf Club Driving Range in Xiamen and passed the China PGA test in 2005 Aaron joined the Mission Hills David Leadbetter Golf Academy in December 2005.
